Download Bookshelf is honored to present the following selections as our charter booklist:

Veteran family, marriage and reconciliation seminar leader Dr. Clarence Shuler has completed The Discipleship Challenge, his long-awaited workbook on basic Christian discipleship. The 128-page workbook is loaded with Scripture and solid teaching, and comes highly recommended from users throughout the United States for both personal study and small groups. (Watch for the Leader's Guide for The Discipleship Challenge in mid-October.)

The multi-talented E.W. "Chip" MacEnulty II offers two new book titles to the Download Bookshelf launch. Both titles deal with adult issues and relationships, and are therefore recommended for mature high school readers and above:
    1.  A Tale of Two Tragedies follows the parallel stories of Linda, a socialite who kills a child in an auto accident, and Troy, whose son kills six people before committing suicide in a school shooting. Two completely different people in two totally different tragedies watch their lives unravel until they tackle the same question in the presence of their Maker: "Why me?"
   2.  Riders is a supernatural Western thriller novella (we're not kidding) about misplaced revenge and final redemption. It's also one of our in-house favorites.

Chip, a teacher, author, director and playwright from the Front Range in Colorado, also brings us two adult-issue dramas for your consideration. (Again, we recommend these for mature high school readers/performers and above due to some language and thematic issues.) Mercy is a two-act drama that brings the parable of the Prodigal to light through the story of three prodigals who end up needing each other. A Portrait of a Choice is a thought-provoking play in three acts that thoughtfully delves into one woman's choice to abort a child or not--and her own surprising history. (Performance rights are included with the purchase of these scripts.)

Dr. Alemu Beeftu develops leaders for churches and organizations internationally. His teaching is both winsome and powerful, as people on six continents have discovered. Alemu's two charter selections for Download Bookshelf include:
   1. Spiritual Accountability, a short and pithy book designed for those seeking to better understand and implement accountability from a biblical perspective.
   2. Determination to Make a Difference, a remarkable study of the Book of Ruth for anyone desiring to be an agent of change in their spheres of influence. Questions for study and reflection are included in this edition, making it a perfect personal or group study tool.

To complete our charter list, Devlin Donaldson and Steve Wamberg bring two team projects to Download Bookshelf:
   1. Truth Be Told is the Download Bookshelf version of their popular personal ethics book Pinocchio Nation, complete with a very practical (and challenging) Integrity Workbook to see how you're handling the truth in everyday life.
   2. The Short & Sweet Guide to Spiritual Disciplines covers the basics of Christian spiritual disciplines through a Q&A format and easy-to-understand language. A great book for anyone trying to get a grip on the "whys" of Christian rituals and disciplines from a broad-based perspective.
